On the Hanaoka Stadium version, Room8Group joined development in the early production stage. Our team took part in some stadium props creation, ground and structures update near the spawn area, UV unwrapping, integration into the engine, bug-fixes, and stadium set dressing pass(Using the provided kit by the Blizzard team).
Room8Group was responsible for ground and structures update around the spawn area, some stadium props, and the stadium props art pass around the map. This was done using buildings, props kit, materials, and textures provided by Blizzard. Also, there was work related to the optimization of near backdrop assets. We were responsible for general optimizing initial art for the stadium version.
The production stage was done thanks to the technical and design supervision of Phil Wang as Environment Art lead and Art Direction of Peter C Lee.
